Bitcoin dips, then bounces back above $82,000: Bitcoin slid to about $81,100 overnight as Asian chip stocks fell and oil topped $101 a barrel, then climbed back near $83,000 Tuesday morning when US stocks turned higher on a report of progress toward ending the war in Iran. That report was later denied, and Bitcoin now trades around $82,500, up about 1% on the day.
Big money came back to Bitcoin funds on Monday: US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in about $526.7M, their biggest day since Sept 22, all of it from BlackRock's IBIT (+$665.2M) while Fidelity's FBTC and Grayscale's GBTC saw outflows. US spot Ether ETFs went the other way, losing about $103.3M for a fourth straight day of outflows. Switzerland's regulator also approved the country's first Bitcoin ETF.
Overnight, Whale Alert flagged 3,500 BTC (about $286M) moving between unknown wallets, and the same coins moved again a few hours later. About $265M in leveraged bets were wiped out over 24 hours, roughly 64% of them shorts, per CoinGlass. Ether is up about 2% near $2,440, XRP near $1.32, SOL near $106, TAO near $271 and HBAR near $0.084, while NEAR is the laggard, down about 1% near $4.86.
